Mighty Khalsa has provided a fun-filled introduction to Sikhism to multiple generations of children. The bi-weekly sessions started in 1997 provide children with a meaningful experience while their parents attend the Sunday morning Gurdwara service. Since then, the Mighty Moms (Sewadarnia) have consistently pioneered new ways of bringing the teachings of the Gurus to life. Notable efforts have been the ever-popular children's parties, the mock quests with enthusiastic actors and actresses who re-enact scenes from Sikh history and the teaching of Sikh-themed nursery rhymes in both English and Punjabi.
About 40 - 45 children attend the bi-weeky programme at the Sikh Centre.
