Bursary
These awards demonstrate SIET's continued commitment to providing financial assistance to needy Indian students in primary and secondary schools in Singapore
Applicants must meet the following criteria
Singapore Citizens of Indian descent
Active CCA record is an advantage.
Must have support from the Principal of present school
The Board has set aside a bursary fund of $10,000 per year with the Singapore Indian Education Trust (SIET) to provide bursaries to students from lower income Sikh families. The bursary is for students from primary to tertiary level. 7 families benefited from the scheme in 2007($3300) and 13 in 2008($1900).
Value
Awards will be presented in the form of cash
Primary : S$ 200 (cash award each)
Secondary : S$ 300 (cash award each)
Pre-U/JC : S$ 400 (cash award each)
ITE : S$ 450 (cash award each)
Polytechnic : S$ 500 (cash award each)
Successful applicants will normally receive their bursary in January
